What our clients say about Open Mind
“I highly recommend it. The sessions always take place in a friendly atmosphere, even though we talk about difficult topics for me. What I value most is the therapist’s great commitment and fresh, different perspective on my problems (this is my second attempt at therapy), which gives me a lot to think about long after each session. I recommend it – although once the word spreads about such a good therapist, it will probably be hard to get an appointment.”
– A. N.
“Very professional approach. I am very satisfied with the sessions – they helped me see some of the things that were bothering me from a different perspective. I feel improvement in the areas that used to be difficult for me. I really value the openness and friendly atmosphere during our meetings. I recommend it.”

What actually happens in therapy?
For many people, starting therapy feels like a big unknown. Here is what the process can look like – step by step:
First appointment and goals – we schedule your first session, talk about what brings you to therapy and agree on your goals and the basic framework of our work together.
Building a safe, trusting relationship – you get to know your therapist, we establish a pace and style of work that feels comfortable for you.
Working on your difficulties – together we explore what is behind your problems, notice patterns in thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and try new ways of coping in and between sessions.
Applying changes in everyday life – you start using new skills and insights in real situations, strengthen what works and notice what still needs attention.
Summary and closure – we look at the changes that have happened, what you are taking with you from therapy, and how you can continue to look after yourself in the future.
At any point you can come back to your goals and adjust them as your needs change – therapy is a flexible process shaped together with your therapist.

Psychotherapist
Małgorzata Mazurek
Małgorzata speaks fluent English. You can choose her if you are looking for support with anxiety, stress, low mood, psychosomatic difficulties, neurodiversity (for example autism or ADHD), or challenges in family relationships.
- She is a psychotherapist working in the Gestalt approach – a humanistic, experiential method based on mindfulness, awareness and authentic contact.
- She works with adults in Polish and English. She also supports parents of children with diagnoses and special needs, helping them go through the emotions around the diagnosis and find balance in everyday life.
- In therapy she focuses on the “here and now” relationship, supporting clients in discovering themselves, developing their potential and introducing changes that lead to a better quality of life.
How we work – methods tailored to your needs
We use evidence‑based therapeutic approaches. Each of them has its strengths – together we will choose the one that best fits you.
Gestalt psychotherapy
This approach focuses on fully experiencing the present moment and the therapeutic relationship. We work on increasing awareness of your emotions, needs and behaviours, which helps you introduce real changes in your life and relationships.
Psychodynamic therapy
This method takes into account the impact of unconscious processes and early experiences on your current functioning. We explore relationships and inner conflicts so you can better understand the roots of your difficulties and work through them effectively.
Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
SFBT concentrates on looking for concrete ways of coping with difficulties instead of analysing all the causes. The therapist helps you discover your resources and strengths to build solutions that fit your current situation.
Cognitive‑behavioural therapy (CBT)
CBT focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Together with your therapist you learn to modify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop new strategies for action, which helps you see noticeable effects faster.
Integrative humanistic‑experiential therapy
This approach combines elements of different therapeutic methods and is based on authentic contact and deep understanding of your experience. The therapist supports you in discovering emotions, needs and ways of reacting, which leads to deeper self‑awareness and changes aligned with your values.
Motivational interviewing
This method helps you develop your inner motivation to change. The therapist supports you in discovering your own reasons and strength to act, without judging or imposing ready‑made solutions, so the process of change becomes more natural and lasting.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if therapy is for me?
If you’re asking yourself this question, therapy is probably worth considering. It is not only for people with “serious problems” – it is a space for anyone who wants to understand themselves better and live more fully.
Will the first session feel awkward?
It’s natural to feel nervous. Our therapists are used to working with people who are coming to therapy for the first time.
How long does therapy take?
It is very individual. Some people feel better after 5–6 sessions, others work longer – several months or even years. You decide when you are ready to finish. There is no obligation or minimum number of sessions.
Is what I say really confidential?
Absolutely yes. Therapists are bound by professional confidentiality. The only exceptions are situations where someone’s life or health is at risk – but even then we will talk about it with you first.
How should I prepare for the first session?
You don’t need any special preparation. Come just as you are. The most important thing is to be open to conversation.
Who is psychotherapy for?
Psychotherapy in our practice in Warsaw can be helpful not only when you are facing serious mental health problems, but also when you feel that something is weighing you down or stopping you from functioning fully.
